My artistic journey is rooted in a lifelong search for belonging. As an Afro-Indigenous transracial adoptee raised in a complex community and household, I found my truest sanctuary in the vast quiet of the Rocky Mountains and desert southwest. Nature became my home, a space where I could fully immerse myself—noticing every color and pattern—and turn that feeling into art. This profound connection is the singular driving force behind my work today.

My primary medium is acrylic on birchwood panel, a choice that is central to my work. I utilize the natural wood grain to integrate texture, pattern, and warmth directly into the landscapes, animals, and flowers I capture, making the material an active part of the scenery.

My art is a passionate study of nature's details. I am a devoted observer, captivated by the intricate colors, sounds, and patterns of the environment wherever I find them. My work seeks to translate this intimate, detailed immersion into vibrant, compelling visual experiences, celebrating the connection between self, nature, and material.
